July 2007Holiday Club in BracoDear Steve Many thanks for the terrific workshop and demonstration you gave at our Holiday Club at Ardoch Church. We had such great fun and were amazed at what the children - and the team - achieved with scarves, toothbrushes and plates! Your 'Christian Message' was particularly effective - so simple, but one I'm sure we will remember. We had a super week with the children, what a great bunch they were - and the juggling added a new dimension which we hope we can repeat at some point. I enclose, as I promised, the cutting from the Strathearn Herald (see presscuttings page). We will certainly recommend you! Irene Robertson |

November 200614th Forth Valley Scout Troop (1st Falkirk)Hi Steve Just a note to thank you for helping us with our circus Skills badge. All aspects of the evening were just great. The scouts picked up some new skills, you kept the evening moving with a great mixture of workshops, advice, a performance, a question and answer session and even a game thrown in. Your advice on performance and the little performances the scouts gave to each other at the end of the evening was just brilliant. I cannot recommend you highly enough to scouts and other youth groups. A challenging fun filled evening. Hamish Scott |

October 2006Scottish Forum for Public HealthJust a quick note to say thanks for your part in the Scottish Forum for Public Health event last week. It was much appreciated. I hope it was an interesting day out for yourself as well. I took the liberty of passing on your info to the Playfield Institute in Fife about your services and they may be in touch sometime as they are actively looking at using the creative and theatre arts for staff and child development. Also I did a quick literature search on the role of circus arts in health and wellbeing and will drop the results off in your pigeon hole at church sometime. Happy juggling Neil Hamlet I wish to add my thanks and let you
know that your efforts were warmly appreciated

November 2005Blackhall St Columba's Church (Youth Service)Dear Steve Thank you for your contribution to the Youth Service on Sunday. There were many favourable comments and the youngsters thoroughly enjoyed your presentation. Thank you once again. Rev Alex B Douglas I performed a 20min Christian Gospel Juggling Routine based on the theme of Perseverance and God Given Gifts. This was performed in front of all the regular worshippers on a Sunday morning as well as 200-300 youth from the Scouts and Guides affiliated with the church who came to renew their promises. |

October 2005Preparing Guides for their Circus Skills Badge & also for their Talent Show in Fyvie, AberdeenshireJust a quick line to let you know how we got on today! The weather was dry & sunny but ever so windy so we moved onto the hard ground in the shelter of the house. We used your idea of everyone having a stage name and had prepared leaflets to give out with a list of acts. We also had a few rehearsals and changed our plans many times! We managed to present some wonderful displays using the sonic poi, devilstick, diablo and juggling. Everyone had great costumes and we provided popcorn & toffee apples to add to the atmosphere. I have already had 2 phone calls
from mums to say that their girls
had such a great weekend. Thanks
so much for your help and time,
we really appreciated it!!! |

September 2005BIG Saturday - SECC, GlasgowDear Steve. Please accept the thanks of the organisers of Big Saturday for your unique contribution to the event last Saturday. As I spoke with stall holders at the end of the afternoon they all had a positive story to tell about the day. Comments from visitors to the exhibition have been overwhelmingly positive. Our numbers were 1800 at the exhibition, 2100 at the children’s event and 2000 at the evening worship event. But numbers were not our key reason for organising the exhibition. Celebration of the good things God has been and is doing around the “Kirk” was our dream. We believe people went away with a positive view of God’s activity in the Church of Scotland and the resources available to make possible new visions of Kingdom work in our Presbyteries. We do appreciate your part in preparing for the Spirit’s flow among our congregations.
Blessings on your work. David Geddes
You were hired to wander around and provide entertainment with a Christian challenge. I saw you and was simply amazed, both at the dexterity of the juggling and the smooth way everything was linked to a Christian message. You certainly engaged the attention of everyone who saw you. It would be great to have you at my church at some future time. Klaus

July 2005Christie Park Primary SchoolI was planning an
enterprise project
for my Primary 5 class,
which was to organise
a circus event for
the school to watch
on the last day of
term. The children
in my class were particularly
interested Steve put on a circus skills workshop for the children and gave them advice on how to organise the event. The children came
up with their own
acts and on the last
day of term we brought
the show together
with Steve's part
of the performance.
The children really
enjoyed the experience
and the show was a
great demonstration
of how much children
can achieve. |

June 2005C in the Park, Cumnock, AyrshireSteve came to Cumnock to a big Christian event the Council of Churches organised, "C in the Park" we had about a 1,000 people on the day. Steve did 2 juggling workshops for us and both the sessions were packed out with people keen to try their hand at juggling etc. Steve always brings plenty of equipment with him so that everyone can have a shot. He then performed on the main stage his juggling testimony..which was very well attended. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone who is looking for a professional juggler... I wouldn't look any where else. Lots of love, |
