St Ninians Out of School Club

Thank you very much for 3 excellent workshops at our Out of School Care. I was apprehensive that with the wide age range (5-12) that it might not appeal to them all as a group but it really did thanks to your wide knowledge and the range of activities on offer, which you worked very well. The children all really enjoyed using the vast equipment that you brought and the various games that you let them try out. Your pleasant approach, patience and enthusiasm is a great asset to what you do.

Many thanks & good luck in England,

Wishaw Brownies & Guides Circus Skills Badge Workshops

Thank you very much for the workshops both at Guides and at Brownies, the girls all really enjoyed themselves. As you will have noticed, as well as having a few over the top hyper-ish kids we have a few very shy ones too and they all got the chance to shine. That will put them in good stead for English at high school where they need to do regular solo talks, so the more practice they get at being in front of people the better.

Fairtrade Bazaar @ Stirling Baptist Church

I would like to thank you for attending yesterdays Christmas Bazaar in Stirling. From the feed-back we received the organisations attending had sufficient interest and made sufficient income to justify attendance. Without your input it would have been impossible and we are truly grateful to you all for the effort you made.

On behalf of the Stirling Baptist Church Global Care Team; Jacqui, Al, Fiona, John and Mara we wish you the happiest of Christmases and we look forward to seeing many of you again next year.

Holiday Club in Braco

Dear Steve

Many thanks for the terrific workshop and demonstration you gave at our Holiday Club at Ardoch Church. We had such great fun and were amazed at what the children - and the team - achieved with scarves, toothbrushes and plates!

Your 'Christian Message' was particularly effective - so simple, but one I'm sure we will remember.

We had a super week with the children, what a great bunch they were - and the juggling added a new dimension which we hope we can repeat at some point.

I enclose, as I promised, the cutting from the Strathearn Herald (see presscuttings page). We will certainly recommend you!

Transition Day- Health and Fitness Faculty
@ Alloa Academy

Dear Steve

On behalf of the school and the faculty, I would like to thank you for your participation in our Primary 7 transition day. After last years success it is always a concern if such a day can be equaled, I need not have worried, today was certainly an unqualified success. This is due in no small measure to the expertise and personality you bring to the day. It is very much appreciated.

The immediate feedback of the day from Primary staff and Pupils is very positive, thank you again for helping to make this anxious time for our new intake a more comfortable and less daunting experience and for becoming part of our team on the day and I hope that we will be able to work together again in the future.

Yours sincerely

14th Forth Valley Scout Troop (1st Falkirk)

Hi Steve

Just a note to thank you for helping us with our circus Skills badge. All aspects of the evening were just great. The scouts picked up some new skills, you kept the evening moving with a great mixture of workshops, advice, a performance, a question and answer session and even a game thrown in. Your advice on performance and the little performances the scouts gave to each other at the end of the evening was just brilliant. I cannot recommend you highly enough to scouts and other youth groups. A challenging fun filled evening.

Just a say how much our youth group really enjoyed your presentation and workshop up in Pitlochry. The message was very clear, so much that I personally can still remember it now. You have a very unique talent and a clear message with your presentation for which all our leaders were extremely grateful. Many thanks mate and we wish you all the very best in your ministry.

Scottish Forum for Public Health

Just a quick note to say thanks for your part in the Scottish Forum for Public Health event last week. It was much appreciated. I hope it was an interesting day out for yourself as well.

I took the liberty of passing on your info to the Playfield Institute in Fife about your services and they may be in touch sometime as they are actively looking at using the creative and theatre arts for staff and child development.

Also I did a quick literature search on the role of circus arts in health and wellbeing and will drop the results off in your pigeon hole at church sometime.

Happy juggling

Our wedding day was so special to us and we had a brilliant time. North Walsham Praise Party

Dear Steve and Rachel,
I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you so much for the party on 14th january. The children are still talking about it and we all really enjoyed ourselves. After worrying that there wouldn't be many children, we had plenty after all. Actually we felt that the numbers were just right. We made the juggling balls with rice the following week at the youth group and that was fun too. We hope you both had a good weekend down here, we're so pleased that you were able to join us.

Just a note to say that I praise God for the wonderful truth's you brought to Aylsham in those 3 juggling routines you performed. All three had great impact and depth.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for braving the snow and attending our Christmas Lights Switch On. The juggling and fire-juggling went down a storm and really added to the night. So a big thank you. There was a picture of you fire-juggling in the local press would you like me to send a clipping?

Many thanks

Dear Steve

Thank you for your contribution to the Youth Service on Sunday. There were many favourable comments and the youngsters thoroughly enjoyed your presentation.

Thank you once again.

Rev Alex B Douglas

I performed a 20min Christian Gospel Juggling Routine based on the theme of Perseverance and God Given Gifts. This was performed in front of all the regular worshippers on a Sunday morning as well as 200-300 youth from the Scouts and Guides affiliated with the church who came to renew their promises.

Preparing Guides for their Circus Skills Badge & also for their Talent Show in Fyvie, Aberdeenshire

Just a quick line to let you know how we got on today! The weather was dry & sunny but ever so windy so we moved onto the hard ground in the shelter of the house. We used your idea of everyone having a stage name and had prepared leaflets to give out with a list of acts. We also had a few rehearsals and changed our plans many times!

We managed to present some wonderful displays using the sonic poi, devilstick, diablo and juggling. Everyone had great costumes and we provided popcorn & toffee apples to add to the atmosphere.

I have already had 2 phone calls from mums to say that their girls had such a great weekend. Thanks so much for your help and time, we really appreciated it!!!

Stirling Enterprise Park Bar-B-Q
(21st Anniversary Celebration)

If you're looking for soemthing a 'little bit different' to entertain guests at a corporate event - then Steve The Juggler is your man! We decided to hire Steve for a summer BBQ to mark STEP's 21st Anniversary. His various juggling routines - particularly the one involving fire - went down a storm with attendees.

Caroline Brown,
Marketing Officer,
Stirling Enterprise (STEP)

On a personal note, I would really like to thank all the business advisors at STEP especially the fantastic Frank Dunne for all their help in helping me set up in business way back in July 2001 as a professional juggler. Their support has been invaluable and it was great to be able to perform for all these people and catch up once again and continue to be encouraged!

BIG Saturday - SECC, Glasgow

Dear Steve.

Please accept the thanks of the organisers of Big Saturday for your unique contribution to the event last Saturday. As I spoke with stall holders at the end of the afternoon they all had a positive story to tell about the day. Comments from visitors to the exhibition have been overwhelmingly positive. Our numbers were 1800 at the exhibition, 2100 at the children’s event and 2000 at the evening worship event. But numbers were not our key reason for organising the exhibition. Celebration of the good things God has been and is doing around the “Kirk” was our dream. We believe people went away with a positive view of God’s activity in the Church of Scotland and the resources available to make possible new visions of Kingdom work in our Presbyteries. We do appreciate your part in preparing for the Spirit’s flow among our congregations.

Blessings on your work.

David Geddes

You were hired to wander around and provide entertainment with a Christian challenge.

I saw you and was simply amazed, both at the dexterity of the juggling and the smooth way everything was linked to a Christian message. You certainly engaged the attention of everyone who saw you. It would be great to have you at my church at some future time.

World Youth Congress -
( Reference for Stirling Juggling Project )

Thank you for running your circus skills workshop at the World Youth Congress 2005 in Scotland. Your workshop was amazing and I know that the many delegates who attended had a great time. I felt you did a tremendous job keeping our young delegates entertained, especially considering that they came from over 120 different cultures! I think your workshop was a great part of a very important youth event and gave our delegates a welcome brake from the difficult issues of International Development that they were discussing.

Many thanks,

Tea in the Park - Penicuik

Just wanted to say, you were very good down the street! Nice guy, had fun! Keep up the good work! Come back to penicuik some time!

Rebecca

We have had another Monday since you were around and it was great as we arrived and poi was in evidence! We had conversations about juggling and the children and young people were still excited a week later.

I used juggling as part of a children's talk this morning - and managed to keep 3 balls in the air!!!

God provided the weather and Steve provided the memory making experience that the children and young people we work with will be able to tell their grandchildren about. It was great!

Thanks so much Steve.
God bless

Christie Park Primary School

I was planning an enterprise project for my Primary 5 class, which was to organise a circus event for the school to watch on the last day of term. The children in my class were particularly interested
in juggling (an interest I also have) so I contacted Steve to get him involved in the project.

Steve put on a circus skills workshop for the children and gave them advice on how to organise the event.

The children came up with their own acts and on the last day of term we brought the show together with Steve's part of the performance. The children really enjoyed the experience and the show was a great demonstration of how much children can achieve.

Playhaven Out of School Care

Playhaven Out of School Care had a circus week as part of our programme for summer activities for the children attending the project.

I hired Steve to come and do 4 work shops with the children over a four day period. On the 5th day I hired a marquee and the children put on their own circus performance as a fundraising event for Playhaven.

I have to say Steve was excellent not only with the children who all learned a circus skill but with the staff too who also learned new skills. Steve helped put on the circus performance on the final day and we had the event covered by the local press.

Afterwards the children were the first to say they really enjoyed the event and could not wait to have a circus week again which I have no doubt we will and I would not hesitate to use Steve again.
On a personal note I would like to say thank you Steve you were grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat.

Go Yellow Day at Beech Drive Nursery

We recently hired Steve to attend our "Go Yellow Day". We were holding the fundraising event for Strathcarron hospice in denny and were looking for some extra entertainment!! Steve arrived very prompt and got to work straight away.....he positioned himself in the middle of the garden so that everyone could see him and join in if they wanted. Steve helped the children to juggle, spin plates and play with ribbons etc. The children really enjoyed their time with Steve and I would have him back in future. Thanks

C in the Park, Cumnock, Ayrshire

Steve came to Cumnock to a big Christian event the Council of Churches organised, "C in the Park" we had about a 1,000 people on the day.

Steve did 2 juggling workshops for us and both the sessions were packed out with people keen to try their hand at juggling etc. Steve always brings plenty of equipment with him so that everyone can have a shot.

He then performed on the main stage his juggling testimony..which was very well attended. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone who is looking for a professional juggler... I wouldn't look any where else.

Lots of love,

JUGGLER FOR A DAY -
Lochee Primary School in Dundee

Thank you for sending on the running order which I have now printed out. The children really enjoyed the day and have now started to use the equipment that Elizabeth ordered. There is a talent show organised for the end of term so some of the children are preparing to show off and improve on their circus skills!

I shall keep your details and may contact you again next session- maybe it will become an annual event?

Sarah McCowan

Just to let you know that the order is HERE!!!!
I couldn't quite believe it when the secretary came in to say there was a big box for me in the office!

It all looks wonderful and I am about to create a list of what we have got so that we can keep an eye on it; the P7 pupils are very keen to get their hands on it.

Hi Steve,

Its Kimberley and Maria, the two naturals at your circus skills class at the Mayfield Centre. We would just like to thank you for a wonderful afternoon, we found it most enjoyable.

We think that you are a very skillful person who has followed his heart to your future. We think that you are a great role model for young people who want to follow their dreams, no matter how
un-realistic they may seem.

We wish you all the best for the future and will keep you in mind for and parties that may require your expertise.
