My name is Steve Thomson and I am a professional juggler and retailer. I have been juggling since 1993 and this juggling equipment and novelty item mail order store began life in July 2002. This is a one-man operation although my wife Rachel helps me out when things get really busy or when I have a lot of performing to do!

This store is dedicated to my Grandad – Bill Thomson. He passed away the same week that the store began, and he had been a storekeeper for approx 20 years, running a general store in a small village called Kincardine in Scotland. I had hoped that as the store started up, I could have spent lots of time with my Grandad and gained lots of useful tips and information on how to run a store. |
Although my store is very much online and market stall based, and his store was “bricks and mortar” there were still plenty of principles to learn from Stock Management to Dealing With Customers. My Grandad was always prepared to go the extra mile to help someone and I aim to do exactly the same for my customers!

Store and Paper Catalogue launched online and offline. Initially only able to accept cash and cheques! |
| January 2003 |
Store able to accept PAYPAL and Nochex online payments |
| April-August 2003 |
Product line quadruples due to large sales made as soon as electronic payments were accepted! This enabled me to add many more sections to the site (beanbags, poi, yo-yo, games, gadgets, magic, creative, novelty items, puzzles, juggling kits, gift sets). |
| January 2004 |
Online Credit/Debit Card transactions now added to the store when I gained my Internet Merchant Account from Royal Bank Scotland. I can also now accept payments over the phone! |
| February 2004 |
My first ever book published - Yo-yo by Mini Maestro and instantly added to the store! |
| October 2005 |
Mailing List set up and first newsletter sent out to 150 subscribers. Price Search Facility added to the store. |
| February-June 2006 |
Stock room moves to an even bigger location which allows me to increase product range and keep more of each item in stock. Larger products such as Unicycles, Glow equipment, Stilts, Yoho Products, Walking Ladders and Workshop Packs are now available. |
| October 2007 |
Jugglingworlds first ever major sale with dramatic cuts to over 1/3 of the entire stores product range! This was to make way for new equipment I wanted to purchase. I achieved my 4000th sale during this period also (woo-hoo!) |
| November 2008 |
Relocated entire business to Northamptonshire, East Midlands, England. Stock room is bigger than previous, so plenty of room for expansion! |
